Goalies
Welcome to the NHL DFS Goalies Tool from 5V5 Hockey — your go-to dashboard for building lineups across DraftKings, FanDuel, and OwnersBox.
Whether you’re locking in a goalie for DFS, targeting one to stack against, or building a prop model around save potential, this tool gives you real-time data to back smarter, sharper decisions.
We combine salary, matchup context, projected saves, win percentage, and proprietary metrics like DKPTS Allowed and 5v5 Scores into one clean interface. Plus, our Goalie Slider Tool gives you a fast, scrollable look at all available goalies on the slate.
Each stat helps you evaluate the slate from a DFS, betting, and fantasy perspective:
Projected or confirmed starter. Confirmations update regularly, but always double-check with Daily Faceoff's Starting Goalie Grid for up-to-the-minute status.
The goalie’s NHL team and opposing team for that day. Use this to analyze matchup quality, projected shot volume, and win potential.
Current DraftKings salary for the goalie. Salary vs. save volume and win probability is critical for building efficient DFS lineups.
Vegas-implied win probability, based on moneyline odds. Goalies with higher win probabilities have a better shot at earning the DraftKings win bonus (+3 points).
Use in combination with our Today’s Games Tool to analyze overall game context and betting lines.
The goalie’s season-long save percentage — an indicator of consistency and reliability.
Projected number of shots the goalie is expected to face. This is huge for DFS upside, since goalies earn +0.3 points per save on DraftKings.
A cheap goalie projected for 34+ shots is often a sharp GPP play.
The goalie’s average DraftKings points per game across the season — a baseline indicator of production.
Internal projection of the goalie’s maximum upside. Based on projected saves, likelihood of a win, and chance of a shutout. Available to premium users and essential for GPP decision-making.
This is the average DraftKings fantasy points the goalie has allowed to opposing shooters per game this season. It includes:
A high DKPTS Allowed value means this goalie is consistently giving up volume or goals, which makes them a strong stack target in DFS.
Same as above, but over the last 10 games — offering a look at recent trends. If this number is rising, the goalie might be struggling or playing behind a leaky defense.
This metric is especially useful when you’re deciding who to stack against or fading high-priced goalies with recent poor form.
At the top of the page, the Goalie Slider gives you a visual snapshot of all the day’s starters. You’ll see:
This feature is perfect for fast decisions, late lineup swaps, and visually comparing goalie options before lock.
Check Daily Faceoff’s Starting Goalies before committing — they’re the industry leader in timely updates.
A goalie projected to face 35+ shots with moderate win equity is often a better GPP play than a heavy favorite with low volume. Use Projected Shots Against + Ceiling to spot upside.
A goalie allowing 16+ DKPTS per game is giving up goals and shot volume. That’s your green light to stack against — especially when they face a top-line with PP1 exposure.
Just because a goalie is cheap doesn’t mean they’re playable. Use Save%, Shots Against, and DKPTS Allowed to avoid poor-value plays with minimal upside.
