NHL Team Standings – Simple, Filterable NHL Standings with Point %, Goal Differential & Team Form

Welcome to our NHL Team Standings page — a fast, filterable, and data-focused way to view where every team stands. While most sites give you the basics, we present the most important metrics for understanding team performance, form, and playoff position — all in a clean, sortable layout.

Whether you're tracking your team’s playoff push, evaluating form for fantasy hockey, or doing matchup research for betting, this page gives you a streamlined snapshot of the league.

What Makes Our NHL Team Standings Tool Unique?

Unlike traditional standings pages, this tool is:

  • Fully sortable by any column (like Point %, Goal Differential, or Win Streaks)
  • Built for quick filtering by team (just like in Excel)
  • Designed to cut through the noise and focus on the key metrics that matter

For comparison, you can also visit the official NHL standings — but here, you’ll get an even faster way to analyze team strength and recent momentum.

NHL Standings – Column Descriptions

Here’s what each column means so you can use the tool more effectively:

1. Team

The NHL team name and logo. Filter or sort to focus on specific clubs.

2. GP (Games Played)

The number of games played this season — essential for comparing teams who’ve played an uneven schedule.

3. W (Wins)

Total wins (includes regulation, OT, and shootout victories).

4. L (Losses)

Regulation losses only.

5. OTL (Overtime Losses)

Losses in overtime or shootout — still worth 1 point in the standings.

6. PTS (Points)

Total points earned. This is the standard metric used in league standings (2 points for a win, 1 for an OTL).

7. PTS% (Points Percentage)

Points divided by the maximum possible points. Helpful for comparing teams who’ve played a different number of games — especially earlier in the season.

8. GD (Goal Differential)

Goals For minus Goals Against. A b indicator of how dominant (or lucky) a team may be. Use this to spot teams that might be outperforming their record — or due for regression.

9. L10 (Last 10 Games)

Shows win-loss record in the past 10 games. A quick way to evaluate current form or trends.

10. Strk (Streak)

Current win or losing streak — useful for spotting hot or cold teams heading into their next game.
